说起自己的优劣之处，人人都能口若悬河，然而一次小事却告诉我，一个人有些缺点自己永远看不到。正如一个人能看到百米外的行人，却不能看到自己的睫毛。
班里开展了一项活动，是要求每一个同学写出另一位同学的不足之处。而写好的每一份纸条，都由班主任私下交给我们。
我几乎是怀着忐忑不安的心情等待着纸条交到我的手里。当我拿到写有我名字的纸条时，那五六张纸条就像一本厚书一般沉重。虽然每一张纸条都不会写上书写者的名字，可我还是由字迹认出了，这些批评我的人都是与我关系的人。

?根鸟》主要讲了一个叫根鸟的少年到梦中那个长满百合花的大峡谷去寻找他梦中的女孩紫烟。他途中遇上形形色色的人，有好心人，也有骗子、坏蛋。我印象最深的是“青塔”这个故事章节。它主要写根鸟和他的同伴流浪到青塔时，根鸟因过于劳累病倒了。他的同伴给他抓药治病，但他的病不但不减轻反而加重了。同伴实在没办法，他要急着赶路，便只好让根鸟在一位好心的奶奶家住些日子，直到养好病再说。根鸟在老奶奶家养好了病后，还想赚一点钱，便到附近搬树干去了。他终于攒足了钱，准备买一匹马。就在当天晚上，有一个人假装为他送行，将他灌醉把他打得头破血流，偷走了他的钱袋。最后一位老僧人送了根鸟一匹白马。他上路了。
故事扣人心弦，让人时而心惊胆战，时而无奈叹息，时而掩卷深思……根鸟得到那么多好心人的帮助，当然也被人骗了很多次。这不禁让我想起一句话：不经风雨，哪能见到彩虹?不融入生活，哪能真正地了解这个世界?我们少年儿童应该多多离开家长的怀抱，自己面对这个纷繁复杂的世界，不能当温室里的花。通过根鸟，我明白了一定不要交友不慎，遇到困难也不能退缩。咦?不要退缩?我忽然想起有一次，我到中山公园的体能乐园玩，里面有很多挑战性的设施。我像一只小猴子上蹿下跳的，但是，当我想爬上一个晃晃悠悠的阶梯时退缩了，根本爬不上去!我暗暗对自己说：你一定能行!不要怕!可以的!妈妈也在旁边鼓励我。最后，凭我坚强的意志，爬了上去。事实说明，如果你经历了风雨的磨练，就能尝到蜜糖般的甜头!
